Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex technology and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile and iterative delivery methodologies, solid technical awareness of modern application architectures, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology and digital projects using Agile and iterative methodologies.
- Drive project execution across all phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Ensure alignment to business goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Agile & Iterative Delivery
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
- Work closely with product owners, scrum teams, and stakeholders to deliver incremental value.
- Promote continuous improvement and iterative development practices across teams.
Technical Awareness & Enablement
- Demonstrate solid understanding of application architecture, including:
- Front-end, back-end, and API interactions
- Integration patterns across systems
- Apply knowledge of:
- Cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Testing frameworks and quality assurance processes
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Planning & Scope Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Define, manage, and control project scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage change requests and assess impacts on timelines, budget, and resources.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and issues.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize project impact.
- Maintain risk and issue logs and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders.
Resource & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, and business analysts.
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Track project performance and drive corrective actions where needed.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
- Agile and iterative delivery expertise (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Strong experience delivering technology/digital projects
- Excellent project planning and scope management capabilities
- Advanced risk and issue management skills
- Proven stakeholder and resource management skills
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of application architecture (front-end, back-end, APIs)
- Familiarity with:
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Version control tools (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
- Testing frameworks and quality engineering practices
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- High level of adaptability in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred
- Agile certification (Scrum Master, SAFe) highly desirable
- 7–10+ years of project management experience in technology/digital environments
