Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with deep insurance industry experience to drive business and technology change initiatives. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to define business requirements, optimize processes, and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology delivery across core insurance domains such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured specifications (BRDs, FRDs, user stories).
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions to capture requirements.
Insurance Domain Expertise
- Provide subject matter expertise across insurance processes, including:
- Policy administration (life, non-life, or short-term)
- Claims management
- Underwriting
- Billing and collections
- Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Analyse current business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks.
- Design and recommend optimized future-state processes.
- Support digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
Solution Delivery Support
- Work closely with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation.
- Support system integration, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure all solutions adhere to applicable insurance regulations and compliance standards.
- Support audit activities and documentation requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong insurance domain expertise.
- Proven experience delivering projects within insurance or financial services.
- Experience working on large-scale transformation, system implementation, or digital initiatives
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and lifecycle processes.
- Expertise in business analysis methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead analysis activities.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
