Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced People Change Lead with a strong background in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) within the banking or financial services sector. This role is responsible for leading the people-related change strategy across complex M&A transactions, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
The successful candidate will drive organizational change, culture integration, and workforce transition, partnering closely with HR, business leaders, and program stakeholders to deliver successful transaction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
M&A People Change Strategy
Lead the end-to-end people change strategy for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations.
Assess people-related risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned to deal objectives.
Drive organizational design and workforce transition planning.

Change Management Leadership
Develop and implement structured change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
Oversee change impact assessments and stakeholder readiness.
Lead communication and engagement strategies to ensure transparency and alignment.

Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with senior executives, HR leaders, and program teams.
Act as a trusted advisor on people-related risks and change interventions.
Manage relationships across multiple business units and geographies.

Employee Experience & Transition
Ensure a smooth employee transition experience, including onboarding, exits, and redeployment.
Support talent retention strategies for critical roles.
Oversee change communication, training, and support interventions.

Regulatory & Risk Alignment
Ensure alignment with banking regulations, compliance, and governance requirements.
Work with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to manage employee-related implications.

Measurement & Reporting
Define KPIs and track change adoption, engagement, and integration success.
Provide regular reporting to executive stakeholders.
Use data insights to continuously refine change strategies.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification or certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) is advantageous.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in change management, including significant exposure to M&A transactions.
  • Proven experience within banking or financial services is essential.
  • Strong understanding of organizational design, workforce strategy, and HR transformation.
