Overview
Weʼre looking for a motivated, hands-on engineer to join our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) team. The IDP is the backbone of how product teams build, deploy, and operate software. This role will help reduce day-to-day support noise, accelerate upcoming platform migrations, and contribute to our disaster recovery (DR) readiness.

Youʼll work with a modern platform engineering stack—Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native tooling - making this a great opportunity for someone eager to deepen their platform engineering and DevOps skillset.
Key Objectives (During the Engagement)

· Troubleshoot issues across build, deploy, and runtime environments.
· Build or refine operational runbooks, automated checks, and self-service tooling.
· Identify recurring issues and raise engineering fixes or automation opportunities.
2. Support Platform Migrations & Modernisation (0–6 months)
· Assist with migration of workloads, pipelines, or development teams onto updated IDP

· foundations (e.g., new Kubernetes clusters, GitOps workflows, or cloud environments).
· Validate new platform capabilities, tooling integrations, and developer experiences.
· Work with engineering teams to ensure smooth cutovers, artefact integrity, and minimal

· Contribute automation or scripting to streamline repeatable migration tasks.
3. Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing & Resilience Work (3–6 months)
· Assist in planning and executing DR exercises for platform components.

· Validate environment failover, cluster recovery, pipeline rebuild steps, and service rehydration.
· Document findings and highlight resilience gaps or improvements.
· Support post-DR remediation and hardening activities.

· Ideal Skills & Experience
· Experience supporting platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure.
· Understanding of containers, clusters, and CI/CD pipelines.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reducing toil.
· Ability to collaborate with developers and platform engineers.
· Willingness to learn new tooling and contribute to platform improvements.
