Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the security posture of our organization by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats and incidents. This role requires a strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and threat detection.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network and system activities to identify potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
- Respond to security incidents, analyzing the root causes and implementing remediation strategies.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into system and network designs.
- Stay informed about cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff across the organization.
- Collaborate with other teams to maintain and refine incident response plans and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, CEH) are preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with network protocols, operating systems, and security control assessments.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
