Role Summary
CIB Product Design is seeking two mid‑level UX/UI designers to support delivery within the Trade and Working Capital (TWC) portfolio, specifically focused on Trade Management Online (TMO) and Trade Management Workflow (TMW).
The designers will be embedded in cross‑functional squads and will contribute to end‑to‑end UX and UI execution across complex, enterprise‑grade trade management platforms. The work spans client‑facing and colleague workflows within a regulated financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver UX and UI design across TMO and TMW platforms within the TWC domain

- Contribute to discovery, problem framing, and solution ideation within TWC squads
- Design interfaces aligned to the CIB Design System and Absa brand standards
- Produce interaction design, visual design, and prototypes using Figma
- Collaborate closely with developers during build and support design QA
- Participate in usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback
Required Skills & Experience
· 3 - 6 years’ experience as a UX/UI designer on digital products
· Mandatory: Financial services experience, preferably in banking platforms, trade finance, payments, or workflow‑heavy enterprise systems
- Strong capability across UX (flows, IA, interaction design) and UI (visual design, component usage)
- Experience working in agile, cross‑functional product teams
- Proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows
- Experience working with design systems is essential
Engagement Details
· Start period: April / May 2026
· Duration: Ongoing (initial CRC engagement, extendable subject to delivery needs)
· Location: South Africa (Johannesburg preferred)
· Capacity: Full‑time
Business Context & Sourcing Guidance
· These are replacement roles for existing contingent design capacity (Trinity).
· Preference should be given to Trinity’s current agency, subject to suitability and rate compliance.
· Spoton must be excluded from the recruiting and submission process for this request.
Business Justification
Dedicated UX/UI capacity is required to support ongoing delivery across TWC trade management platforms (TMO and TMW), mitigate delivery risk, and ensure consistent, high‑quality design execution across complex, workflow‑driven financial products.
