Role

Job Purpose
To drive sustainable business growth by delivering customer-centered, compliant, and high-quality telesales services within the life and funeral insurance space. The role focuses on selling Instant Life and Funeral Cover products, ensuring customers are treated fairly while achieving sales targets, profitability, and regulatory compliance in line with FAIS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance
  • Conduct outbound and inbound telesales activities to promote and sell Instant Life and Funeral Cover products.
  • Convert allocated leads into sales by achieving and exceeding campaign conversion targets.
  • Consistently meet and exceed productivity benchmarks, including call volumes, talk time, and sales targets.
  • Achieve required NTU (Not Taken Up) ratios and maintain high policy persistency rates.
  • Maximize revenue generation while ensuring ethical selling practices.
Customer Experience & Compliance
  • Deliver professional, transparent, and customer-focused service aligned with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Accurately assess customer needs and recommend suitable life and funeral cover solutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAIS regulations, internal policies, and quality assurance standards.
  • Clearly explain product features, benefits, exclusions, and terms to customers.
  • Handle objections effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
Product Knowledge
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of:
    • Instant Life products 
  • Funeral cover products including Eyenu Nonke and Enhance Flexi Funeral
  • Stay up to date with product changes, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Educate customers on policy options to ensure informed decision-making.
Systems & Administration
  • Accurately capture customer information and sales data using CRM systems such as Salesforce and Sapiens.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure all sales records are complete and audit-ready.
  • Follow all administrative processes related to policy issuance and compliance.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with team leaders and colleagues to improve campaign performance.
  • Participate in training, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Continuously improve sales techniques and product knowledge.

Minimum Requirements
  • Qualification:
    • RE5 certification (Regulatory Examination) 
  • Minimum 150 FAIS credits in Life Insurance products
  • Experience:
    • 2–4 years’ experience in insurance telesales, specifically in Funeral Cover and/or Life Insuranc 
  • Proven experience in customer service, sales, or retentions within the insurance industry
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of Funeral Products (Eyenu Nonke, Enhance Flexi Funeral 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce and Sapiens
