Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our Credit Risk delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of credit risk systems through a combination of manual and automated testing. The role involves working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Risk stakeholders to validate business requirements, identify defects, and support the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Analyse business and functional requirements related to credit risk processes.
- Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, System, User Acceptance, and End-to-End Testing.
- Identify, document, track, and report defects using defect management tools.
- Validate data accuracy across interfaces, reports, and databases.
- Participate in requirements reviews to ensure testability and completeness.
Automation Testing
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks for regression and functional testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor automation execution results and troubleshoot failures.
- Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort through automation.
Credit Risk Domain Testing
- Test credit risk models, scorecards, and decisioning systems.
- Validate risk calculations, exposure limits, credit assessments, and lending workflows.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation for risk reporting.
- Verify compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
- Support testing of system integrations with banking and risk platforms.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant QA or testing certifications are advantageous (ISTQB preferred).
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance.
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Credit Risk environments.
- Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Experience testing APIs, databases, and integrated applications.
Technical Skills
Automation
- Selenium WebDriver
- Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools
- TestNG/JUnit
- Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab)
Manual Testing
- Test planning and execution
- Defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Requirement analysis and test case design
- Regression, SIT, UAT, and E2E testing
Database & API Testing
- SQL and database validation
- REST API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI
- Data reconciliation and data quality testing
