SAP SAC Planning Consultant

A SAP SAC planning consultant will join a team of finance, data and SAP specialists in Finance Regulatory Reporting domain.

The project’s aim is to automate the end to end process of reporting for a sub-set of regulatory returns. The process includes automation of data take on-on, transformation through application of relevant business rules through to report generation and submission. The automation process will mainly utilise SAP suite of applications.  

 

SAP SAC Consultant (SAC Planning & SAC Analytics and Reporting) 

Detailed Competencies required for this role: 

 

• Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning and Analytics modules. 

• Hands-on experience with SAC data modelling, Optimized Story scripting, Data actions (Advanced Formula), and Calendar workflow functions. 

• Expertise in connecting SAC with various data sources, including SAP BW, HANA, and third-party systems. 

• Understanding of SAC security concepts, including Model privacy, roles, teams, and data access control. 

• BW4 Hana modelling an advantage  

 

• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. 

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

• Expertise in delivering user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards. 

 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. 

• Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to learning and staying updated on SAC advancements. 

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. 

 

Detailed Deliverables / Outputs expected of the successful candidate: 

SAC Planning: 

• Maintain SAC Planning models to address business needs in Statutory financial planning. 

• Set up SAC Calendar workflows, data locking, and version management to support a workflow approval process for the Statutory reporting planning cycle. 

• Develop SAC web input Story’s to enable effective planning processes. 

• Create data actions, advanced formulas, multi-actions to support the reporting cycle. 

• Advanced Formulas to enable currency translation from Local to Global currency including FCTR calculation. 

• Configure data integration with SAP and non-SAP systems to populate planning models. 

• Provide support for what-if scenarios, variance analysis, and predictive planning functionalities. 

• Document training and conduct SAC end-user training on SAC planning solution. 

• Document UAT test scripts and support defect resolution during UAT. 

Background and experience required: - Years of Experience 

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Analytics, with at least 2+ years in SAP Analytics Cloud. 

• Experience in SAC Planning and Analytics projects across multiple industries. 

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, or other SAP products is highly desirable. 

• Certification in SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus. 

• Knowledge in writing 

5+ years of experience in SAP Analytics, with at least 

2+ years in SAP Analytics Cloud. 

Experience in SAC Planning and Analytics projects across multiple industries.
