Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact programmes focused on the integration of trading platforms with banking systems. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, financial services knowledge, and leadership capability to successfully drive digital transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in digital programme delivery, preferably within banking, capital markets, or stockbroking environments, and will be comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed execution levels.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership
- Lead and oversee end-to-end delivery of large-scale programmes across trading and banking platform integration
- Define programme roadmap, scope, governance structure, and delivery approach
- Ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology strategy
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a unifying leader capable of rallying cross-functional teams and maintaining momentum
- Collaborate with business, technology, and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
- Leverage support from domain and technical leads while maintaining overall programme accountability
- Provide clear, consistent communication at all levels, including executive stakeholders
Technical & Digital Delivery
- Drive programmes with a strong focus on digital platforms, banking applications, and trading systems
- Oversee integration between trading platforms and banking systems, ensuring seamless data flows and user experience
- Maintain sufficient technical depth to engage with architects, developers, and integration teams
- Ensure adherence to modern engineering practices and integration standards
Operational Execution
- Be hands-on when required, staying close to programme details, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, and blockers
- Monitor programme performance and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
Key Requirements
Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Programme Manager delivering complex, large-scale initiatives
- Strong background in financial services, preferably:
- Banking platforms
- Trading platforms / stockbroking environments (advantageous)
- Experience delivering technology-driven digital transformation programmes
- Demonstrated success in platform integration projects, particularly between financial systems
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of:
- Banking applications and ecosystems
- Trading platforms and processes (highly desirable)
- System integration, APIs, and digital architecture
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and align teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels
- Resilient, proactive, and delivery-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within capital markets, wealth management, or stockbroking
- Exposure to Agile and hybrid programme delivery methodologies
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent) are advantageous
